Users Guide
Set Up:
- Change Indicator Tip: Loosen Indicator Locking Screw, remove indicator and change tip. Replace indicator and lock into position.
- Change Indicator View: Loosen Indicator Locking Screw, rotate indicator in holder so face can easily be viewed. Relock screw.
Reading Above a Reference Plane:
- Release Locking Lever by pulling up, use Height Adjustment Knob to position Indicator Tip on the Reference Plane*, then push Locking Lever down to relock.
- Complete fine adjustment by turning indicator Bezel to zero.
- Raise Indicator Tip using the Grip and position onto the area to be measured.
- Read indicator for height.
Reading Below a Reference Plane:
- Release Locking Lever by pulling up, use Height Adjustment Knob to position Indicator Tip onto the surface below the Reference Plane to be measured, push Locking Lever down to relock.
- Complete fine adjustment by turning indicator Bezel to zero.
- Raise Indicator Tip using the Grip and position it on top of the Reference Plane.
- Read Indicator for depth.
Usage Tips:
- Check-It-Gauge can be zeroed out at any point within its working range, to make comparative measurements.
- If the indicator needle quivers or readings do not repeat, check for dirt under the base or at the indicator tip.
